book.

For thirty-six weeks, a sketchbook was sent in random order between four artists; two in Brooklyn and two in Belfast.  Every Wednesday, one participant would receive book.  The following Monday it was sent out, giving each artist five days to complete a spread in response to the one that proceeded it.

A small portion of each entry extends on to the following page.  Beyond this, there was no communication between the artists concerning the content of book during its making.

is it so wrong to love vandalism?

i appreciate graffiti; to me, it resonates as art not vandalism. sooo, pass the spray paint?

here's a little diddy that made me chuckle, and although it didn't make my cheap, burned cup of office coffee taste any better, it felt nice to smile this early.  ahh, positivity.

mmmm, bacon...bacon and positivity.  special.

clearly i'm embarrassingly immature. but still, it's pretty funny, no?

sophia coppola, m'lady

i don't know if it was mary's special chocolates or my seriously underutilized brain creativity, but coming across some old reviews of virgin suicides yesterday revived (or reminded me of) my adoration for the film.  i was blown away at how even these simplest of screen shots capture the eery dreaminess of that  1970's suburban summer. In fact, it evoked such a feeling in me that i was tempted to get all "1970's" myself; you know, light up a j., bask in the sun, and reflect on like, the universe, bro...but instead i watched it on my netflix. ahem. meticulous coppola minded the composition of every frame in suicides to the point that each still is beautiful all on its own. listen to this and scroll down, you'll see what i mean...

you dig? now, be free, go reflect on the universe, bro...
